Celebrating International Women's day with IndoIdaho and Tanta.Inc!

March 8th was a night to remember in Idaho, as over 400 women from 40 different communities gathered to celebrate International Women’s Day in a spectacular event hosted by Tanta.Inc! The evening kicked off at 5 PM with a warm welcoming remark, setting the tone for a night filled with culture, connection, and celebration.

The night was a vibrant display of heritage and diversity, highlighted by a stunning fashion show featuring traditional outfits from Indonesia, presented by IndoIdaho. Our lovely participants graced the stage in exquisite attires representing different Indonesian regions:



Daisy - Bodo Clothes (Sulawesi)   Alena - Merak Clothes (Java)   Alexa - Kurung Clothes (Sumatra)    Charlie & Melisa - Balinese Clothes (Bali) | Abbigail & Cloe - Saman Clothes (Aceh) | Kak Rizki - Kebaya (Indonesia) | Angi - Yapong Clothes (Betawi)


The energy was electric as each participant proudly showcased Indonesia’s rich cultural fashion on the runway!


Indonesian Traditional Dances!

After the fashion show, guests were treated to mesmerizing performances of traditional dances from around the world. IndoIdaho proudly presented two signature Indonesian performances: Jaranan Kepang and Yapong Dance. Jaranan Kepang Dancers: Daisy Hook, Alena Wiranata, Alexa Fleischer, Abbigail Fleischer, Charlie Snow. 

Yapong Dancers: Maya Hill, Niken Strawn, Cecilia Mathes, Riski Chenowith, Anisa Pelangi, Melisa Glaves.

The rhythmic movements and colorful costumes captivated the audience, immersing them in the beauty of Indonesian performing arts.


Feasting & Festivities

What’s a celebration without delicious food? IndoIdaho brought a taste of Indonesia to the event with two signature treats:



🍛 Rendang by Kak Shofia – a rich, flavorful beef dish loved worldwide.

🥤 Es Teler with Boba by Kak Rizki & Sharty Boba – a refreshing, tropical Indonesian dessert drink with a fun twist!

The guests indulged in a delightful dinner together, sharing laughter, stories, and appreciation for the diverse flavors on their plates.


Honoring Dedication & Closing the Night with Poco-Poco!

The event concluded with an awards ceremony, recognizing various communities for their incredible contributions and dedication. To wrap up the unforgettable evening, IndoIdaho led everyone in a lively Poco-Poco dance—a fun, easy-to-follow dance that got everyone on their feet!


IndoIdaho was honored to be part of the event planning and celebration, bringing people together through culture, dance, and delicious food. Here’s to strong, inspiring women and the power of community!
